Wayne Van Eyk - 5 x Monday Evenings Block 6pm - 9pm - Figure Drawing Fundamentals
This 5 week course runs from 2 June to 30 June.
This introductory drawing course sets you up for drawing the human figure. It emphasizes developing a strong foundation of key strategies using the classic Atelier plaster casts, which allows you to transition to drawing the figure from life. Life Drawing sessions, using a live model, are held every Wednesday Evening. You have the opportunity of joining 5 x Tutored Life Drawing Sessions run on the Wednesday Night concurrently with the 5 week Monday Night Drawing Course. This will give you the opportunity of practicing your skills, and applying concepts you have learnt at this drawing course.
This 5 week transitioning course allows for a strong development of the foundations of figure drawing by taking advantage of the tradition of drawing studio casts. This provides longer drawing cycles to understand and consider the key elements of capturing the human figure. This process-based, practical course sets the foundation to grow your drawing further. Methods and skills covered include, the simplified structure, proportions and foreshortening, gesture, and 3-D volume.
